As local, national and world affairs do their best to make us crazed and anxious, we celebrate Christmas as Americans who recognize liberty as the bedrock of our lives. To some, we are dismissed as Deplorables, but to ourselves we are Normals, and we revel in that greatest privilege of all, gratitude.

Wishing a Merry Christmas to all and hopeful, gratifying times in the new year ahead.

P.S. Cease the handwringing over Syria, a departing Mattis, etc. We have a remarkable POTUS on the job, full of surprises.
